Removing a magazine is the same problem in reverse, while being almost impossible to do at all without using both hands. Points 1 and 2 can be mitigated with some lubricant and might actually be considered a desirable feature respectively, but the last one is really what detracts the most from operating an Atlas (beyond the low capacity and inconsistent performance) - inserting and removing magazines is just the worst, it seems like it should just be a matter of sliding them in and out with the difficulty being adjusting to the unusual orientation, but there are these ridges in the mag well that fight you if you try it, so you wind up inserting them in at an angle part way up the mag well (or trying to) before dropping it down, and it makes the entire experience unnecessarily rough and unpleasant. Loading and unloading magazines in it is a pain. The Atlas looks rad, and it's honestly pretty fun to fire (mine a bit more so than the stock version), but it came with a slew of issues beyond the whole "two rounds at once" gimmick: I've not had any reason to regret purchasing mine, as it gets solid Rival springer performance in a slick package. I sorta forgot about the secret sniper bolt action blaster, though.I wonder. When mod kits are figured out, it might become one of the best ever but I'm pretty happy with it as it is now. The Hypnos is expensive and it will take awhile to judge it's reliability but at this early stage of the relationship I'm still in love and spending a lot of time pondering paint schemes. My Rival Red Dot sight finally has a blaster that it works well with and when mounted on the front tac rail, it makes the darn thing look a lot like the big blue supply barge that visits my island on Thursdays. I'm hitting a lot of bullseyes at 30 feet. I broke my chrono but the Hypnos seems to shoot harder than any other stock ball blaster that I've used. It came with two 12-round mags and I was pleased to find that the short 7-round mags also fit easily. The collapsable stock works well and probably fits most adults. The magazine eject is neat and the whole beast is nicely detailed with a tasteful paint scheme. When paired with a Kronos, it reminds me of a Longshot/Retaliator combo. I received my Hypnos from Amazon on Saturday.
